The Male' City Council today launched a special operation to clean up and remove a large amount of waste that had been discarded along the southwest breakwater of Male'.
The debris trapped in this manner diminishes the beauty of the area and leads to various environmental issues.
Regarding this initiative, the Mayor of Malé City Adam Azim stated that keeping the breakwater clean is an essential task to ensure that visitors to Malé can experience the city's scenic beauty.
The Mayor also highlighted that maintaining the aesthetic appeal of Malé’s "front face" (waterfront) is a matter of special priority for the Council.
